Metminco Limited (ASX: MNC) – $0.006
16 Jun 2015
Metminco Limited (ASX: MNC) has upgraded its Mineral Resource estimate at the Los Calatos Porphyry Complex in Peru (Figure 1).
Figure 1. Location of Los Calatos Porphyry Complex
The Total Mineral Resource estimate currently stands at 352 million tonnes at 0.76% copper and 318ppm molybdenum at a 0.5% copper cut-off.
Three dimensional modelling of the geology of the Los Calatos Porphyry Complex from recently completed core re-logging activities has significantly improved the company’s understanding of the spatial and temporal development of the main geological components of the porphyry complex and the extent of copper and molybdenum mineralisation.
The company has provided external consultants Runge Pincock Minarco with the new block model that will be used to revise the mining study. Runge Pincock Minarco will determine the best mining methods for the extraction of high grade zones associated with breccias, develop production schedules and associated operating and capital costs.
